are available for study in the secondary school credentialling program
in Queensland?
Authority Subject:
This is a Subject for which there is an approved syllabus and a work
program, based on that syllabus, which has been approved by the Queensland
Studies Authority. A person's results in Authority Subjects are moderated
by the Authority.
Courses in Authority Subjects generally run for 4 semesters, with 55 hours
of learning required for each semester.
Authority-registered Subjects:
This is a subject for which the Queensland Studies Authority has approved
a Study Area specification and a study plan for the relevant strand, but
the person's results are not subject to the Authority's procedures for
moderation. These generally run for four semesters.
Recorded Subjects:
This is an area of learning which is defined as a recordable non-authority
area of learning.
