ACACA Compulsory Years of Schooling Group

Introduction

The ACACA Compulsory Years Group was established in 1998 to provide an Australian forum for the consideration of curriculum, assessment and certification issues in the compulsory years of schooling.

A survey seeking information on aspects of the curriculum in the compulsory years was distributed to each state/territory in Australia in April 2000. The survey sought information on four areas:

  1. Standards and Benchmarking
  2. Middle Years of Schooling
  3. Vocational Learning
  4. Reporting at the end of the Compulsory Years

The responses from each state/territory will be provided in two forms on this website. Within each area, responses to all the questions by state/territory are provided as well as responses to each questions by state/territory. This structure allows users to examine all the information available for a particular state/territory or to compare answers to individual questions by state/territory.
