Overriding Public Interest against Disclosure (OPIAD) Schedule

Section 6(5) of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) (GIPA Act) requires the Board of Studies to publish a list of OPIAD documents. The definition of OPIAD documents is: information that would be mandatorily disclosed as open-access information except that there is an overriding public interest against disclosing it.
The following is a current list of OPIAD documents. The list is not exhaustive and will be reviewed on an as-needed basis.
- All content of examination and test papers prior to their conduct
- Names and addresses of printers of the Higher School Certificate (HSC)/School Certificate (SC) examination and test papers
- Location of HSC and SC examination and test papers
- Names and addresses of contractors providing transport and security for HSC/SC examination and test papers
- Names and details of Presiding Officers and supervisors of HSC and SC examinations and tests
- Membership and procedures of examination committees
- Disability provisions – cut offs for provisions
- Disability provisions – membership of specialist and assessor panels
- Disability provisions applications
- Illness/misadventure and other panels’ criteria
- Illness/misadventure membership panel
- Illness/misadventure applications
- Students’ personal information
- Presiding Officers Handbook and Presiding Officers Daily Exam and Test Schedule
- Markers’/Supervisor of Markings’/Advisors’ details
- Details of people with complaints against the administration of non-government schools.
