Dr Peter Ellyard
Executive Director of Preferred Futures Pty Ltd.
Peter is one of Australia's leading spokespersons for the future. He spent three years as Executive Director of the Commission for Future, he was Special advisor to the Secretary General of the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1993 and is the leader of PNG 2020, to develop a vision for Papua New Guinea in the year 2020. He is also an advisor to the Malaysia 2020 program.
He recently completed Education 2010, a vision for education in the year 2010 for Victorian State School Principals. He has been Senior Advisor to the United Nations system for 20 years and is constantly called upon to assist government agencies, foreign governments and companies to plan for the future.
Dr. Clark Quinn
Director of Development
Access Australia Cooperative Multimedia Centre
Clark is currently Director of Development for the Access Australia Cooperative Multimedia Centre, and holds an adjunct position as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of New South Wales. His focus is `cognitive design', applying what is known about how people think and learn to the design of systems, particularly learning environments. This has led to numerous publications in the areas of technology-mediated learning, interaction design processes, and how games can facilitate the acquisition of cognitive skills. He serves on several international advisory boards and working groups in the areas of educational technology and human-computer interaction.
Clark served as Multimedia Manager for Open Net Pty Ltd. before taking up his current position. Prior to receiving his doctorate in psychology at the University of California, San Diego with Donald Norman, he designed educational computer games with DesignWare. He has worked as a research associate at the Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education at San Diego State University, and spent two years as a postdoctoral fellow at the Learning Research and Development Center of the University of Pittsburgh, designing instructional software.
John Bennett

John Bennett was a mathematics teacher at Maitland Boys' High, including two years as the part time Computer Consultant for the Hunter Region, before taking the position of Head Teacher of Mathematics at Dover Heights Girls' High in 1978. He joined the Board of Studies as an Assessment and Research officer in 1986. In 1991 he was appointed Manager, Assessment and Systems. Since 1996 he has been Director, Information Technology at the Board. He is in the process of completing a PhD in Educational Measurement at the University of New South Wales.
Bob Staples

Bob led the teams that wrote the primary Science and Technology syllabus and support document and the Steering Committee of the National Professional Development Project: Appropriate Technology - Designing the Future
He is a member of the project team that developed the Statement and Profile of Technology for Australian Schools.
Lyndon Sharp

Lyndon is a multimedia producer, website designer, teacher and writer who has planned prototyped and produced award-winning educational CD-ROM multimedia discs with the Board of Studies NSW since 1992. He designed and manages the Board Internet website (http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au).
With many years teaching experience, he is the author of a book and numerous articles dealing with issues of technological change, equity, gender and the development of quality educational materials.
