Consultation to date
The draft shape paper for the Arts was released by ACARA for national consultation from 8 October to 17 December 2010.
The Board commenced consultation in term 4, 2010 with an online survey. More than 550 responses were received when the Board’s online survey closed on 17 December 2010. In term 1, 2011 consultation continued with reference group and teacher focus meetings. Feedback received by the Board of Studies contributed to the NSW response to ACARA.

The final Shape of the Australian Curriculum: The Arts was published by ACARA in August 2011. The shape paper presents an outline of the K–12 curriculum, guiding writers in the development of the draft Australian curriculum.
