Board of Studies consultation on the draft shape paper for Geography
The draft shape paper for Geography was released by ACARA for national consultation from 21 June to 27 August 2010.
The Board of Studies consulted with teachers and the public during term 3, 2010 to coordinate NSW feedback to ACARA. The NSW consultation included an online survey, meetings with teacher focus groups in metropolitan and regional NSW and a geography reference group. Feedback received by the Board of Studies contributed to the NSW response to ACARA.

The final Shape of the Australian Curriculum: Geography was published by ACARA in January 2011. The shape paper presents an outline of the Kâ12 curriculum, guiding writers in the development of the draft Australian curriculum.
