Chinetta Ren
Chinetta studied Music 2 Unit Course 1 at PLC Armidale, where she was the winner of a Creative Arts Scholarship. She has been learning the piano for nine years and has performed with the PLC Armidale Senior Choir and Jazz Band. In 1998, she passed her 8th Grade piano exam with Honours and was awarded third in the state for composition in the Sydney Morning Herald/Gould League competition. Chinetta has been successful at eisteddfods, winning the solo piano event for her age group this year. She was also selected to play in the Gala concerts for piano duet work and to perform with the school choir. Chinetta enjoys music from a diverse range of styles and genres and is currently studying towards her A.Mus.A. She hopes to undertake a Commerce/Arts degree at University and is certain that music will remain an integral part of her studies.
