David Fan Shi
David Fan Shi’s piano lessons began in China with his mother at the age of three and at the age of five he started lessons at the Shanghai Conservatorium. After moving to Australia, David attained his AMusA with Distinction in piano in 2001 and in 2002 he attained his LMusA with Distinction in 6th Grade Musicianship. In 2001 David won first place in the Allans Junior Scholarship of the Macdonald Performing Arts Challenge. In 2002 he reached the semi-finals of the Kuringai Concerto Competition and recently he has been selected to participate in the recital round of the 2003 2MBS-FM Young Performers Award. David’s ambition is to play the piano at a professional level and undertake actuarial studies.
