Stefan Mitchell
Caringbah High School
Stefan has loved music, particularly jazz, from a young age; it was only natural that he pursue this passion as part of his HSC. Stefan hopes to enliven Sydney’s jazz scene and to make jazz more appealing to contemporary youth. He performs with various small jazz ensembles around Sydney, is a member of the NSW Performing Arts Unit’s Stage Band and, in 2003, was selected for the Mount Gambier James Morrison Superband. He played at the opening ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games and in 2003 performed solo at the NSW Festival of Instrumental Music. He is accompanied by Alex Boneham (double bass), Adrian Klumpes (piano) and Rob Turner (drums).
