Andrew D’Azevedo
Caringbah High School
Andrew began playing the piano at five. He accelerated in Music 2 and Music Extension to complete his HSC exams in these courses whilst in Year 10 and also attained his AMusA in piano the same year. He has received top placing and commendations for his performances at a range of Eisteddfods and his compositions have been selected for performance in Sydney, Taiwan, and Singapore. In 2004, he won the Sutherland Shire and St George Youth Music Awards and has since been invited by Sven Libaek to perform a Mozart concerto with the Sutherland Shire Symphony Orchestra in April this year. Currently under the tutelage of Gerard Willems, Andrew is preparing to complete his LMusA. Zero Space was inspired by the works of Carl Vine, Claude Debussy and Miriam Hyde and is performed by Kristy Conrau (cello), Alex Norton (violin) and Andrew on Piano.
