Mee Na Lojewski

Conservatorium High School

Mee Na Lojewski

A Musica Viva performance at primary school inspired Mee Na to take up the cello at six. From 1989-2000 she studied with Eleanor Lewis (to whom Dawn Lament is dedicated) and has since been studying with Susan Blake and Julian Smiles. She was awarded The Lady Black Prize for Cello in 2003 and 2004 and was also awarded the Sydney Conservatorium CHAOS Special Purpose Grant for 2005 as part of the “Spirit” piano trio. Mee Na received first prize in the Conservatorium High School Composer’s day in the Year 12 Contemporary Music section (2004) and is a member of the SBS Youth Orchestra and the Sydney Conservatorium Cello Ensemble. She hopes to complete a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and to become a professional musician.
