The ‘Mountainboard’ is a flexible recreational vehicle that’s like a snowboard for when there’s no snow. Gavin has designed it for the teenage market, inspired by the lack of entertainment possibilities in a small country town. The steering/suspension mechanism is particularly innovative, the design overcoming the problem of limited materials in his local area. Gavin intends to work in the sport and recreation industry, where his mountainboard is sure to get a workout.
