HSC Merit Lists
The Board of Studies NSW publishes four HSC Merit Lists every year.
Some or all of these lists may also be published in news media. The Board of Studies NSW makes every attempt to ensure lists published in news media are complete and correct, however it is possible that changes to HSC results, and therefore changes to HSC Merit Lists, may occur after publication.
The Board of Studies NSW may therefore update the HSC Merit Lists published on the following pages. This may mean that these lists vary slightly from those published in news media.
The four merit lists are:
This lists the student or students who achieve the highest HSC result in each course. A First in Course is only awarded if the result is in the highest band possible for that course.
This lists the students who have achieved results in the top band possible for at least 10 units of HSC courses.
This lists the students provided their results are in highest band possible for the course, who have gained the top places in each course. The number of students listed for each course depends on the overall size of the course.
This lists all students who received a result in the highest band possible for one or more courses.
