New NSW K–10 syllabuses for the Australian curriculum
The Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards NSW (BOSTES) has developed new NSW K–10 syllabuses for English, Mathematics, Science (including Science and Technology K–6) and History incorporating the Australian curriculum. For the first time the syllabuses are available in an interactive online format.
View the new K–10 syllabuses and the implementation timetable for each new syllabus on the NSW Syllabuses for the Australian curriculum website.
The site also features a range of support materials to assist primary and secondary teachers to implement the new NSW K–10 syllabuses, including an online programming tool, Program Builder, that enables scope and sequences and units of work to be created from the K–10 syllabuses.
The development and finalisation of these syllabuses represent a significant collaboration between BOSTES, the education sectors, teachers, teacher professional associations, academics, teacher unions and parent bodies. This collaboration has greatly assisted the syllabus development process and helped ensure the quality and suitability of the new syllabuses for NSW students.

During 2015, BOSTES is continuing to develop the NSW Geography K–10 Syllabus incorporating agreed Australian curriculum content. Further information about this syllabus, support materials and implementation will be provided in 2015.
