Summary of Amendments to Food Technology Stage 6 Syllabus

The syllabus amendments:

  • increase clarity of content and depth of study
  • restructure the HSC Course to remove the Option Strands, Contemporary Food Issues: Nutrition and Marketplace
  • replace the Option Strands with a new Core Strand, Contemporary Nutrition Issues focusing on diet and health in Australia and influences on nutritional status
  • include four Core Strands each worth 25%.
