Hospitality Curriculum Framework – Stage 6 Syllabus Part B

As a result of a new version of the Training Package (SIT07v2.3), the following changes apply for implementation with Year 11 students from 2012:

Examinable units of competency (refer to Hospitality modification history (PDF)):

Common

  • Develop and update hospitality industry knowledge (SITHIND001B replaces SITHIND001A) – substantial changes to unit of competency and HSC requirements and advice

Commercial Cookery stream

  • Organise and prepare food (SITHCCC001B replaces SITHCCC001A) – substantial changes to unit of competency and HSC requirements and advice
  • Clean and maintain kitchen premises (SITHCCC004B replaces SITHCCC004A) – changes to unit of competency and HSC requirements and advice

Food and Beverage stream

  • Clean premises and equipment (SITHACS006B replaces SITHACS006A) – changes to unit of competency and HSC requirements and advice
  • Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages (SITHFAB010C replaces SITHFAB010B) – changes to unit of competency

Accommodation Services stream

  • Provide housekeeping services to guests (SITHACS004B replaces SITHACS004A) – changes to unit of competency
  • Prepare rooms for guests (SITHACS005B replaces SITHACS005A) – changes to unit of competency and HSC requirements and advice
  • Clean premises and equipment (SITHACS006B replaces SITHACS006A) – changes to unit of competency and HSC requirements and advice
  • Receive and process reservations (SITTTSL007B replaces SITTTSL007A) – changes to unit of competency

Other units of competency:

  • Launder linen and guest clothes (SITHACS007B replaces SITHACS007A)
