Implementation of Revised Years 7–10 Syllabuses and K–10 Languages Syllabuses
The implementation timeline for the revised Years 7–10 syllabuses was as follows:
- The English Years 7–10 syllabus and the Mathematics Years 7–10 syllabus were implemented with Year 7 and Year 8 students in 2004. These syllabuses were implemented with Years 9 in 2005 and Year 10 in 2006.
- All other Years 7–10 syllabuses with the exception of K–10 Languages, were implemented with Year 7 and Year 9 students in 2005, and with Years 8 and 10 in 2006.
- K–10 Languages Syllabuses were implemented with Year 7 and Year 9 students in 2005 and with Year 8 and Year 10 students in 2006. Schools that wished to offer the 100-hour mandatory requirement of the School Certificate with students in Year 8 in 2005 should have implement the revised syllabuses with these students in 2005.
