How your HSC works
You’re about to take your first step into your first HSC classroom as a Year 12 student. There were many other steps that led to this moment, but this is the beginning of your last year at school, the end of a journey that began in Kindergarten.
The year ahead will be sometimes exciting, sometimes challenging, sometimes sheer hard work. At the end of it all, however, you will have earned one of the world’s most respected secondary school credentials, the NSW Higher School Certificate.
The public respect for the HSC exists for two reasons: the integrity of students like you, and the immense number of quality controls managed by the Board of Studies NSW and your school.
