Design and Technology 7-10 Work Samples

The Design and Technology 7–10 work samples CD-ROM has been developed to assist teachers to further their understanding of the syllabus. It can be used by teachers individually or parts of the resource
may be discussed by groups of teachers. Alternatively, teachers may select certain aspects of work samples to discuss with their students, or use the work samples as a resource to give students further ideas for their Design Projects.

The main section of this resource is the Units of Work, which look at eight case studies from Stages 4 and 5 and presents information about work samples, related outcomes, annotations, teacher planning and teaching strategies. The units of work are meant to provide teachers with a detailed walk through of the units implemented by other teachers. These units are linked to other parts of the CD-ROM to enable users to access the full range of information or work samples available in this resource on a given aspect of the syllabus.
