Standards Packages – 2001 School Certificate

This Standards Package CD-ROM requires Internet Explorer 5 or later
and a PDF viewing plug-in with a screen resolution of at least 800
x 600. Also, make sure that Java and Javascript are enabled in your
browser defaults.
Operation
If the CD interface did not start up automatically when you inserted
the CD:
Windows
1. Double-click My Computer on your desktop.
2. Right-click your CD Drive and select OPEN from the pop-up menu.
3. Double-click the folder SC01_standardspackages and then the SP01_5000
folder.
4. Double-click on the index.html to launch. If you do not have
the PDF viewer plug-in, double-click on the installers.html file
and follow the instructions.
Macintosh
1. Double-click the CD's icon on your desktop.
2. Double-click the folder SC01_standardspackages and then the SP01_5000
folder.
3. Double-click on the index.html to launch. If you do not have
the PDF viewer plug-in, double-click on the installers.html file
and follow the instructions.
If you don't have Internet Explorer 5 or later installed, you can
find the installer in the ie5 installer folder on the CD.
If you don't have Acrobat Reader 4 or later installed, you can find
the installer in the Acrobat Reader installer folder on the CD.
Some users may prefer to run the ar505enu.exe provided on this CD-ROM.
From the Run menu, browse to “D:\Acrobat Reader installer\WIN\ar505enu.exe”
[Note “D” stands for CD drive; your CD drive may be
different]
The latest version of Acrobat Reader can be downloaded from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html
The programs contained on this CD-ROM are intended for Windows95/98/Me/NT4/2000
and Macintosh.
Copying the SC Standards Packages to your network or intranet:
1. Create a folder and name it: SC01_standardspackages
2. Copy the images folder across to this new folder [Note: When
copying multiple subjects, you only need to copy this folder once,
as all the SC Standards Packages refer to the same images folder]
3. Copy across the SP01_5000 [or 5010 or 5020] folder
4. Create a link to index.html located inside this folder. [Note:
to maximise viewing area – open the index.html in a new window].
Your network and copyright
This Standards Package is copyright and it is illegal to make copies
of it. You may place the CDs on a school intranet site but not on
an internet site or on any intranet site that can be accessed from
outside the school by the use of a password. Each secondary school
has been issued with one free copy of the complete set of packages.
To purchase additional copies of the packages, please use the order
