Demonstrates a high level of ability in understanding the plain sense of the prescribed texts. Demonstrates a high level of ability to comment on the prescribed texts in the light of the set commentaries. Shows an advanced knowledge and understanding of the content of the prescribed texts and the social, cultural, historical and Halakhic dimensions of the themes set for study. Recognises and analyses grammatical forms and syntactical features, and demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of their function. Comments with flair and understanding on set Mishnaic texts, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the set commentaries. Demonstrates an understanding of unseen Biblical texts with a thorough grasp of vocabulary and content.
Band 5  (32.25%)
Demonstrates a substantial level of ability in understanding the plain sense of the prescribed texts. Demonstrates competence in commenting on the prescribed texts in the light of the set commentaries. Shows a detailed knowledge and understanding of the content of the prescribed texts and the social, cultural, historical and Halakhic dimensions of the themes set for study. Recognises and analyses grammatical forms and syntactical features, and demonstrates a thorough understanding of their functions. Comments with accuracy and understanding on set Mishnaic texts, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the set commentaries. Demonstrates an understanding of unseen Biblical texts of greater difficulty with a good grasp of vocabulary and content.

Demonstrates an understanding of less demanding sections of unseen Biblical texts with a basic grasp of vocabulary and content.
