The annual ARTEXPRESS exhibition is a culturally significant event, showcasing exceptional works by NSW Higher School Certificate Visual Arts students.

The exhibition takes place at the NSW Art Gallery, NSW State Library, David Jones City, College of Fine Arts, National Art School and throughout the State.

ARTEXPRESS 2000 HSC CD-Rom, ARTEXPRESS 1997 HSC CD-Rom and ARTEXPRESS 1996 HSC CD-Rom are all sold separately.

Each ARTEXPRESS HSC CD-Rom includes a full-colour interactive exhibition of artworks by young Australians, and for the first time, ARTEXPRESS 2000 HSC CD-Rom includes photographic images of the actual exhibitions at the Art Gallery and State Library.

The ARTEXPRESS HSC CD-Roms are essentially self-running slideshows of all artworks shown at all the venues including the touring show. There are several options for navigating the extensive content from viewing each exhibition by location or using the index to jump from point to point.

The slideshow takes the viewer through each student's artwork with the option of pausing, fast forward or reversing and retracing each step. Each artwork also has the facility to show text information about the artwork, the artist and their school and a personal commentary.
