School Certificate Standards Packages on CD-ROM offer candidates, their teachers and parents additional resources for test preparation.

Since 1998, student performances in the School Certificate tests have been reported in relation to standards. Students receive a mark (out of a possible score of 100) based on their performance compared to predetermined standards. The results are then placed on one of six performance bands.

These CD-ROMs contain detailed descriptions of the performance bands with background information on the standard-setting process. Samples of real student responses placed on the borderline between bands demonstrate the standard achieved for each band in previous tests.
